| ** Condo Board ** Usually assign one or a few members to ‘introduce’ you to the building. The Condo Board can only exercise their right of first refusal and have the building purchase the apartment instead of you. After the interview, typical notification of the board's decision is given to you or your Agent within 72 hours however some boards reserve the right to take longer. Upon board approval, the Managing Agent usually advises you as to whether you have been approved or not. Notify your attorney who in turn will coordinate the closing date. A typical closing can take up to 2 weeks to schedule so please keep this in mind when planning your move. |
| ** Co-op Board ** Most Co-op boards meet once a month. The Board may grant an interview but can decline your application for grounds that may never be revealed to you. |
